As the recipient of many tourists-visitors which travel in the mainland in traditional settlements, agro-cooperatives, industries etc. getting familiar with the way of life of the rural areas, the local agricultural products and their production method, the organization tried to set up these visitations in a better way and to give the right information about its products, and also for the genuine Cretan hospitality to the visitors. So it created a model exhibition area, 15 km from Heraklion, at the old wine bottling factory, where it can host up to 400 visitors daily. The visitors can enjoy the space free of charge from Monday to Saturday from 09:00am to 17:00pm, and at any other time upon arrangement. The duration of the visit can last from 30΄ to 50΄ depending on the number of persons and their time available and includes the following: The visitors watch a ten minute video-movie about the area of the Union, the production process and its products. There is the possibility of playing the movie in Greek, English, French, German, Russian, Czech, and Polish. Then there is a tour at the 4 different areas of the exhibits, where there is a collection of old equipment, pots, tools that were used before the war for the production of the two basic products of the area (wine and olive oil). Then they proceed to the wine testing area where they try different kinds of wine with traditional dishes accompanied with olive oil. At the same space there is a small market where products of the PEZA UNION are sold at cost.
